As part of associationX on Tuesday 23 February 2027 at Tākina, Wellington, association chief executives, executive directors and senior policy or advocacy leaders will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with MBIE’s Deputy Secretaries and key staff across its seven portfolios.

These conversations will be matched to your sector’s needs, with opportunities to request multiple meetings with relevant MBIE representatives.

For now, we are gathering expressions of interest. Simply let us know you would like to be involved—you do not need to outline your issues or meeting requests at this stage.
We will contact interested associations in early November with Deputy Secretary profiles, portfolio information and the next steps. You will then be invited to share your sector priorities so we can work with MBIE to identify the right people for your conversations.
Attendance and membership
Attendance at associationX is free for both NZSAE members and non-members.
