The relationship between a CEO, their Chair and their board shapes how an organisation sets direction and gets things done. In associations and industry bodies, elected directors and member expectations add another dimension.
NZSAE’s CEO Governance Roundtable provides space to discuss these realities with fellow CEOs and Executive Directors who understand the context. Bring your experience, a question or a situation you would value another perspective on.
What to expect
Each session opens with one governance question, followed by a facilitated round-table conversation. Topics will include keeping boards focused on strategy, navigating board and management responsibilities, working with your Chair, and building capability within an elected board.
There is no formal presentation or preparation required. The value comes from comparing approaches, testing ideas and learning from one another’s experience.
To support candid discussion, sessions will not be recorded. Participants are asked to respect confidentiality and avoid identifying individuals when discussing sensitive situations.
